Case Ave. Elementary – Sharon, PA
In June 2011 Hudson Group, Inc. was the successful bidder for the General Construction contract for Sharon City School District’s New Case Avenue Elementary School. This new, $19 million, two story school will replace the existing Case Avenue Elementary School built in 1923 and remolded and expanded in 1950 and again in 1976. This exciting project was approved for design in 2010 after many years of debate and released for bidding in the spring of 2011. In addition to a typical complement of elementary classrooms, the new Case Avenue Elementary will include an expanded administration and guidance suite with a safe school entrance. Small group instruction rooms, a STEM classroom, modern computer classrooms and a high school sized basketball court in the multi-purpose room bringing contemporary design elements to the learning environment. The project, designed by the highly esteemed Eckles Architecture Group, also includes comprehensive site development including expanded staff and visitor parking, an easily accessible service dock and new student playground. The 93,000 square foot educational facility is slated for completion in July 2013 and scheduled to open to students for the 2013-2014 school year .
