SHARON — Sharon Regional Health System’s board of directors has elected William Strimbu as chairman and John Hudson as vice chairman.
Strimbu, the president of Nick Strimbu Inc., Brookfield, heads a third-generation family business founded in 1926. The company provides flatbed and refrigerated trucking services. His company also operates a warehouse that complements the trucking business
He also is a member of the health-care provider’s physician services board.
Strimbu is active in the community, serving as a director of the Community Foundation of Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio since 1994. Since 1995 he has served on the boards of Hermitage-based FNB Corp. and its affiliate, First National Bank of Pennsylvania.
He is a founding director of his family’s charitable fund, the Strimbu Memorial Fund, and serves as a trustee of the Western Pennsylvania Teamsters Health and Welfare Fund.
Strimbu was elected to Sharon Regional’s board in 1997 and serves on the audit, executive, finance and pension and strategic planning committees.
