The future location of Indiana’s Pennsylvania State Police barracks and the future of a property next door to the current barracks were among matters before the White Township Planning Commission on Tuesday night.
By unanimous votes the commission gave its blessing to four projects.
Hudson Advisors Indiana LP was given approval for its final site proposal for a new state police operation on a 19.339-acre property at Fenton Road and Route 286. An 18,774-square-foot building will be built there, with emergency access to Route 286 and 127 parking spaces.
Hudson Advisors Indiana LP is part of a Hermitage-based company that is contractor for several state police properties across the commonwealth. Township Manager Milt Lady said plans for the new barracks include provisions for visitors and could perhaps serve as a future training site. An impound area is included.
