GREENVILLE, Pa.– Alex Hudson MBA’21, a Principal at Hudson Companies and an alumna of Thiel College’s first Master of Business Administration graduating class, returned to the College to begin her first term as a member of the Thiel College Board of Trustees.
Hudson Companies is a real estate development, investment, and general construction company in Hermitage, Pa with 45-plus years of experience developing, constructing, acquiring, and managing commercial and multifamily real estate. The Hudson Companies portfolio consists of nearly 2,000,000 square feet of professional, medical, and government office space along with more than 2,200 apartment units. They offer opportunities in multi-family apartment leasing, student housing, senior housing, commercial leasing, and ground up build-to-suit real estate solutions. The Hudson Companies fosters a welcoming, entrepreneurial, and family oriented workplace culture and has been honored as one of the “Best Places to Work in PA” by the Central Penn Business Times for the past six years. After earning dual degrees in business management and marketing in 2019 from the University of Mount Union, Hudson joined brothers Tyler and Jonathan as second-generation principals guiding The Hudson Companies into new endeavors. While actively involved in operations and project management, she continued her graduate education and earned her MBA from Thiel College in 2021. Hudson continues to develop lead management roles within the multifamily portfolio and works closely with the investment and development team on new property onboarding. She focuses on team member recruitment and performance, building a talented core dedicated to customer service, revenue growth, and the operational efficiencies of the portfolio. She is also involved with operations and accounting groups, overseeing the preparation and financial analytics for a portfolio of properties.
Hudson is also a second-generation trustee continuing a tradition of service and support for Thiel College. She previously served on the College’s Board of Associates, the City of Hermitage Building Standards Committee, and was a Penn Northwest Development Corporation Future Leaders Board member. She and her husband, Michael Kelly, reside in Hermitage, Pa.
The Board of Trustees is responsible for the oversight of Thiel College. The Board adopts rules, regulations and policies governing Thiel College and has authority over curricular development, use of property, development of facilities and fiscal and human resources management. The Board of Trustees meets formally three times a year on campus.
