Each year, the Pittsburgh Business Times presents the Best Places to Work in Western Pennsylvania, a unique awards program that requires the input of not just a single nominator, but also the employees themselves at each of the companies. A company’s inclusion on this list is based on an online employee survey completed earlier this year that was conducted by Quantum Workplace. Companies were evaluated based on a variety of factors, ranging from employee job satisfaction to salary satisfaction to perspectives on management. Companies received scores up to 100, and the Pittsburgh Business Times, upon receiving the rankings from Quantum, decided a cutoff for the winners in each of four categories based on company size: small, between 10-24 employees; medium, 25-49; large 50-99; and extra-large, 100 and up.
